The Krawly Editorial Team is the small in-house group of engineers and writers that builds every tool and fact-checks every guide before it ships — a decade of collective experience in web scraping, SEO automation, and data pipelines.
How we test the tools we write about
Every tool comparison on this site is written after running the tools on the same input. When we say a scraper misses JavaScript-rendered content or that a checker reports a false positive, it is because we saw it happen on a page we can point to — not because a feature list said so. Where a result depends on the target site, we say which site we used, so the claim can be re-tested.
We write about our own tools too, and that creates an obvious conflict of interest. Our rule is that a Krawly tool gets the same treatment as any other: if it fails a case, the article says so. Several posts on this site document limitations in our own tools, because a comparison that always concludes in our favour is an advertisement, not a review.
Numbers in articles are the numbers we measured, on the date stated. Web tooling moves quickly and a benchmark from last year is a historical note rather than current advice — that is why revision dates matter more here than publish dates.
Why articles are credited to the team
Posts here are attributed to the Krawly Editorial Team rather than to individual bylines. The work genuinely is collaborative: the person who runs the tests is often not the person who writes the draft, and a second reviewer checks the claims before publication. Attributing that to one invented persona would be less honest than naming the team that did it. Editorial responsibility sits with the team as a whole, and corrections come back to the same address regardless of who wrote what.
How we publish
Drafts are written by a single named author, fact-checked by a second reviewer, and copy-edited before going live. We update articles when the underlying tool, web standard, or search engine guidance changes — never silently. Every published page lists the author, the publish date, and (when applicable) the most recent revision date.
