To delete pages from a PDF, drop the file into the tool above and check the page count it shows. In Pages to delete, type the page numbers and ranges you want gone, such as 2, 5-7, then click Delete pages. You download a new PDF containing every other page in its original order. At least one page has to remain.

How to delete pages in PDF without Acrobat
Removing a page sounds like a basic job, yet many people only find the option behind a paid desktop editor or a site that wants an account first. This tool does the one thing you need in a browser tab: you say which pages should go, and you get back a PDF without them. There is nothing to install and no subscription, and it works the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Under the hood, the pages you keep are copied into a new document with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library. They are not printed to images or re-rendered, so text stays selectable and searchable, vector drawings stay sharp, and the kept pages look identical to how they looked before. Deleting pages changes which pages are in the file, nothing else.
The file is processed on your own computer or phone and is never uploaded to Krawly. That is useful when the document is a contract, a payslip or a medical report and you only want to strip out a cover sheet or a page with details you do not want to share. If the PDF is password-protected, open it in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy and use that, because encrypted files are not supported.
Remove blank pages from PDF scans and other cleanup jobs
Double-sided scanning is the classic source of unwanted pages: every single-sided sheet adds an empty back page, and a 20-page scan can easily hide half a dozen blanks. To remove blank pages from PDF files like this, scroll through the document in any PDF viewer, note the numbers of the empty pages, and type them into Pages to delete. The tool does not detect blank pages automatically, so you stay in control of exactly which pages go.
The same approach handles other everyday cleanup: deleting the fax cover sheet in front of a signed agreement, dropping the terms and conditions pages from an invoice you are forwarding, taking out an outdated appendix, or removing a duplicate page that slipped in twice during scanning. Combine single numbers and ranges in one go, for example 1, 6, 14-16.
Page numbers count the physical pages in the file, starting at 1, and ignore any numbers printed on the pages. A report with a cover and a few roman-numbered pages may show page 1 on what is really page 5 of the PDF, so check the numbers in your viewer's page counter before deleting.
Delete pages or extract pages: which one to use
Deleting and extracting are two sides of the same task. Here you list the pages you want to remove, and everything else stays. In Split PDF's Extract pages mode you do the opposite: you list the pages you want to keep, and everything else is left out. Both produce one new PDF and both copy pages without quality loss.
Pick whichever list is shorter. To delete a page from PDF files with 40 pages, typing 7 here is easier than typing 1-6, 8-40 elsewhere. But if you need only pages 3 and 4 out of a long report, extracting those two pages is quicker than listing all the pages to throw away.
If the pages you keep are in the wrong order or sideways, follow up with the other PDF tools: Rotate PDF fixes orientation without re-rendering, and Split PDF plus Merge PDF lets you rearrange sections into a new sequence.
Tips for the best results
- Note the page numbers in a PDF viewer first; the field counts physical pages starting at 1.
- Mix single pages and ranges in one entry, such as 2, 5-7, 12, instead of running the tool several times.
- If you want to keep only a few pages, use Extract pages in Split PDF instead.
- Keep the original file until you have checked the edited copy; the download is a separate file.
- Remove the password from protected PDFs in your PDF reader before deleting pages here.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove pages from PDF files for free?
Open the PDF in the tool above, type the page numbers you want gone in Pages to delete, and click Delete pages. You download a new PDF without those pages. It is free, has no watermark, needs no signup and runs entirely in your browser.
How do I delete a page from PDF documents I received by email?
Save the attachment to your device, then drop it into the tool and enter the number of the page you want to remove, for example 3. Click Delete pages and save the new copy. The original attachment stays unchanged.
Can I delete PDF pages online free without uploading the file?
Yes. Although the tool runs on a web page, the PDF is processed locally by your browser and never sent to Krawly's servers. Nothing is stored, and closing the tab discards everything except the file you downloaded.
Can the tool find and remove blank pages automatically?
No. There is no automatic blank-page detection. Look through the PDF in a viewer, write down the numbers of the empty pages and enter them, for example 2, 4, 9-10. That way no page with faint content is removed by mistake.
Does deleting pages reduce the quality of the remaining pages?
No. The pages you keep are copied into the new PDF as they are, without converting them to images. Text stays selectable, graphics stay sharp and the layout is unchanged.
Can I delete every page, or pages from a protected PDF?
At least one page must remain, so you cannot delete all of them. Password-protected PDFs are not supported; save an unprotected copy in your PDF reader first, then remove pages from that copy.
Private by design. Every Krawly converter runs inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are not uploaded, stored or seen by anyone — when you close the tab, they are gone.
